With chic industrial interiors, a beautiful open plan bar and a delicious signature menu, Drake & Morgan’s latest opening is the season’s go-to destination for clinking, drinking and dining. Stunning industrial foundations are complemented by geometric flooring, exposed filament lighting and bespoke eye-catching street art, designed and installed by Peter Barber. A tiled hummingbird motif by Mr Cenz and a stunning translucent print by Carne Griffiths complete the space. The open kitchen and copper plated bar are offset by chic leather booths, playful dogtooth upholstery and signature Drake & Morgan sheepskins, creating the perfect spot for business breakfasts, working lunches, long boozy brunches and evening drinks alike. As the mercury drops, cosy Aran jumpers, blankets and hot water bottles are on hand to keep al fresco diners and drinkers warm into the small hours. This has become a feature in many of Drake and Morgan's venues and is hugely popular. The Allegory’s signature cocktail collection has something to suit every occasion. Expertly mixed and muddledby some of London’s best mixologists, must-tries include the fiery and sour Calypso with Pamparo rum, Amaro di Angostura, lime, sugar and egg white; the Mezcalita made with mezcal, Cointreau, orange juice, lime and sugar syrup; or an Earl Martini with Earl grey-infused Ketel One vodka, Martini Bianco and orange peel. Hot toddies such as the Whisky & Spice & All Things Nice, with Jameson whisky, ginger, lemon and honey are perfect as we enter the colder seasons. The Allegory has a wine selection of over 60 bottles with carefully curated wine flights. The Allegory, 1A Principal Place, Worship St, London EC2A 2BA
